Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship all over the world.  International shipping rates are shown in your shopping cart and again at check-out. We offer free shipping to anywhere in the continental  USA!

Does the custom price quote include shipping

For custom orders, we offer free domestic shipping in the USA and low cost shipping everywhere else, which will be included in your quote.  You can request a quote for customized containers here.

What is the production lead time for a standard order vs a custom order?

Standard orders of stock containers ship within 3 business days. Custom orders take between 4 and 10 weeks to ship depending on size, quantity and complexity.

What are your payment options?

We offer a variety of payment options including:

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Venmo, PayPal, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Diners Club, Elo, Facebook Pay, JCB, Shop Pay and wire transfer by request.

Do you offer samples? 

Yes, we provide up to 5 free samples, we just ask that you cover the ship cost. Request samples on our "Sample Request" page. 

Can I have a sample made first of my custom order?

Yes, we can make a physical sample of your custom tube and ship it to you. The lead time for samples is around 3 weeks. The sample fee is $80 USD for simple tubes and $120 USD for more complex tubes, like powder shakers and tubes with metal closures.

Can you make custom sizes?

Absolutely. We can make any size cylinder, oval or square-shaped tube in any color, with or without custom printing. Just ask!

Can you print directly onto the tubes?

Yes! The minimum quantity for custom printing or custom sizes is 100 pieces per design, but prices become economical for most businesses at around 250 pieces. The more you buy, the lower the cost. Lead time is 5-10 weeks depending on amount and complexity.

 What are the minimum order requirements?

Most of our stock containers are available in quantities of 10 pcs or less.  For custom tubes, the minimum order quantity is only 100 pcs per design.

What stock color options are available?

Brown kraft, black, and white. For custom containers / colors, please visit our "Custom" page to inquire.  

Can I use these containers for my water-based cream/lotion?

Our paperboard containers are not recommended for any products containing water.  Since the containers are not airtight, the water will slowly evaporate, drying out the product.  The containers are designed for oil-based products, food items and powders, or non-cosmetic uses.

What wall thicknesses are available for each of your tubes and jars? 

All of our stock tubes have 2-2.5mm walls.

What is the recycled content of your packaging? 

The outer paper for all of our brown kraft stock containers is 100% recycled. We can also use 100% recycled outer paper for custom orders by request.

What stock color options are available?

Can I use these containers for my water-based cream/lotion?

What is the variation in diameter/height for stock and custom tubes? 

For both stock and custom tubes, please allow for up to +/- 1mm variation in diameter and +/- 2mm variation in height in smaller tubes, and up to 5mm variation in height for larger tubes.

Are all the materials used eco-friendly and sustainable?

We take care to consider sustainability in every step of sourcing, production, packaging and shipment.  The tubes are made with FSC certified paper, and the outer paper of all of our brown kraft paper tubes are 100% recycled. The adhesive used is rice glue, and the lining is vegetable wax that is stable up to 140°F or 60°C. All of our tubes  are fully home compostable unless they have an additional coating on the outside of the tube (these are specified as "coated" in the product title). Tubes that have an extra coating on the outside are industrially compostable, and have a thin layer of PLA bioplastic made from plant starches from sugar cane, corn stalks, etc. For custom orders, we only use vegetable inks. The containers are food grade and comply with California Proposition 65 and EU regulations for cosmetic container safety standards. Finally, we ship using plastic free, recycled materials that are recyclable and compostable.

Do you have filling trays?

Yes!  We offer dishwasher safe filling trays specifically designed for all of our lip balm tube sizes, and can make custom sized filling tray by request.

If you choose to skip the tray, we recommend filling lip balm tubes with reusable glass droppers/pipettes, and larger tubes with small beakers or measuring cups.

How do I fill my tubes?

Here are a few tips for filling your tubes:

° If using paper containers for the first time, it is recommended that you test a few first before filling all of them.

° Using a chopstick or similar utensil, make sure the push-up disk at the bottom of each tube is pushed down and seated firmly with the white, wax side up.

° For best results, keep your first pour temperature at the lowest temperature possible (140°F/60°C or below) and only fill about 10% of the way. Let it semi-set before filling the rest of the way at a hotter temperature.

° Use a small beaker or dropper/pipette to avoid soiling the outside of the tubes.

° To avoid an indent in the middle, fill up in stages.

° If lids are ill-fitting, switch the lids with other tubes. If some lids are still too loose, dip the neck of the tube (the area the cap slides onto) into clean water and let dry completely on its side. The lid should fit tighter.

° Leakage usually occurs during the filling process (if the product is too hot, or they are filled too quickly), or
the product has a low melting point and re-melts at
some point.

° If product inside will not push up, remove lid and roll tube on a flat surface while applying pressure.

° If too much product is pushed up, tap the bottom of the tube on a flat surface.

° Occasionally, some products are either too soft or too hard to be dispensed properly in the tubes, which can usually be resolved by adjusting the product recipe slightly.

How do you measure the volume of the containers?

Volumes are measured with fluid ounces and fluid mL/grams.  The weighted volume of your unique product inside the tube may vary.
